AND SO, THE JOURNEY BEGINS…
After much contemplation, prayer, and some enthusiastic encouragement from a few friends, I decided to embark on this very new adventure of blogging! At the church where I am involved, I, together with a couple of other ladies, started writing weekly devotions for our women about 5 years ago. The devotions I wrote were about my own journey with the Lord, and all the little nuggets He showed me in the Bible when I spent time with Him.
After a while I came to the realization that I really loved writing the devotions! This was quite unexpected, as I never saw myself as a “writer” of any kind, nor have I ever attempted writing anything for others to read.
Recently at a ladies’ conference that our church hosted, we were challenged about the “seed” God placed within us, and what we were doing with it. I had become comfortable with the process of writing the devotions every few weeks, but God clearly told me that He was going to be stretching my capacity to make room for new things. He was going to take me on a new adventure with the “seed” in my hand.
So, as I embark on this new adventure with my written seed, my prayer is that the God-nuggets I discover in my times with the Lord Jesus, and share in my blogs, will encourage someone else to begin their own journey into discovering this amazing God I serve and the treasures in His Word. Perhaps there is someone out there who may find my blogging-bits helpful in enriching their own journey with the God. Either way, I am obeying the promptings of the Holy Spirit and stepping out on the s-t-r-e-t-c-h God has been leading me into.
I have no idea what the format, shape or frequency of my God-Nuggets will be, and maybe only my friends and family may end up reading my blogs (and that’s okay too!). All I know is that I am embarking on an interesting journey with the Lord, and I am counting on God to make things clear to me as I go. I am nothing spectacular, but I serve a SPECTACULAR God Whom I love, and Whom I love to share about. Welcome to my God-Nuggets!
